the actual core reason why people will hand-wring and fearmonger over kink, and to a lesser extent body modification, and to a lesser extent than that extreme sports, then contact sports, etc. is because capitalism preserves the christian ideal of external ownership of the body (i.e. being “made in his image” and an extension of god) but offloads the divine onto labor and the production of capital, which is why you’ll never see these people putting 1/100th the effort into spreading awareness about the fatality rates in logging, oil rigging, garbage collection, or any other inherently dangerous field. the sin isn’t the destruction of one’s own body, but instead the leisurely and “senseless” destruction of property and potential labor rightfully owned by capital. it’s only self-destruction if you do it in your freetime. sorry i went off theme, boyhole girlspit dying bird motif etc
Whenever a game lets me create my own character I think I end up chasing the high I felt as a teenager when I played Saints Row 3. So I make a cool girl who I would love to hear yelling profanities at bad guys over a gunfight. And then the dialogue in the actual game is never good enough to do my idea of my character justice. I’ll probably never again feel the way I felt when playing as my rude, impulsive, overconfident, prideful, Laura-Bailey-voiced Saints Row 3 protagonist.
It’s 2023 how has NO other game gotten the Rude Girl Protag as good as Saints Row 3+4 and maybe Borderlands 2
I made a fake disability ID card does that make me a bad person
“We were in Europe a couple years ago and we went to this museum and I went up to the ticket taker and I was like, ‘Hey, I read on your website that you let people with disabilities come to the museum for free?’ And she was like, ‘Yes, but I’m gonna need to see some ID proving that you have a disability.’ And I was like, ‘What do… I mean, I have one leg.’ And she’s like, ‘Yeah yeah, but do you have disability ID proving..?’ I was like, ‘I don’t - I mean, do you think this is an optical illusion? Or like an elaborate costume I’ve created to get into your museum for free?’ She’s like, ‘Alright, I’ll let it slide just this once, but next time, make sure you have the ID.’

We don’t have anything quite like it in the United States, but we went back to Europe the next year and we wanted to go to that museum again, so before we did, I printed off this, like, fake disability card. Disabled people in america get slightly better parking and that’s it. And you get that with a doctor’s approval.
I deeply resent the fact that our society has reached the point where COVID-conscious individuals are being blamed for their own isolation, as if everything would be fine if we just stopped being so mean and restrictive.
Why am I the unreasonable one for not wanting to die? Why am I expected to just give up, lie down, and accept death, all for the comfort of people who want to pretend that COVID ended in 2021?

I know everyone says it’s best to just stick to “said” as a dialogue tag bc it disappears and that’s true and I mostly do but I want to take a moment for my all-time favorite dialogue tag, “lied.” Absolutely nothing hits like “‘I’m here to help,’ he lied.” NOTHING.
